Anxiety through the roof at the thought of losing my loved ones, of eventually not hearing their voice or seeing their smile… I get your worry.

While we can’t stop time, or life, we can freeze the moment. It might not be perfect, but think about your life in 5 years, or in 50. Would you rather have fading memories? Or images you can look at, and bring back those moments as sharp as they were the day they were made?

I know my answer, and that’s why I strive to capture everything I don’t want to miss, and everything you don’t either.

The kind of couples that really make me feel short!

I revel in stories. Mine, yours, the neighbor down the street. They are all so different and wondrous. So unique and beautiful. Authentic.

Ultimately, I believe that our own story creates us. It defines our happiness, our movements, the moments that make us tick. Why shouldn’t we remember these moments? Doesn’t it feel amazing to look back on a memory and just feel the sheer joy as if you were back in the moment? What if you could make that moment even more vivid?

That is where it all started for me, being able to tell my own story in something concrete and beautiful, so I could relive the moments I never wanted to forget over and over again.

Many of my stories include travelling and exploring new places, both near and far from home. As a farm girl, my sister and I would wander out into the forest for hours, exploring and writing our own stories (yes, literally. We were very good at make believe, eh hem “Mission Dogs”.) As we got older we got to venture further, to the mountains on a family hike, to foreign countries and the top of their mountains. From the moment I had access to a camera, I documented all of this. It brings me joy every time I look at it.

Why I Love Stories

That’s why I do what I do, capture your story for you so you can find solace in reliving that joy like I find in mine. I want you to remember all the beautiful and pure moments. I want you to remember the smiles, the wonder in the eyes, the way it felt in those very moments.

11 years ago my love story started with a sweet boy from my high school, who, at our grad night, says he “Couldn’t leave such a pretty girl not dancing”. For a man who hates the dance floor, I know how much courage it took to take me out onto it.

We’ve been amazing places together, and have our home together with our sweet white, blue-eyed dog Skye. We’ve climbed mountains, and sat on the shore of the Loch Ness. We’ve road tripped to the far north, and been camping down south. Though since he hates the heat, it's been a struggle to plan a vacation anywhere tropical.

But we always come back to our farming roots, the quiet country air, the family we have. It's as amazing of a love story as I could have ever dreamed.

Since I planned my own intimate wedding, I know all of the struggles you may be going through.

I know how much my story means to me, so I know what it means to you as well.
