An elopement traditionally is when a bride and groom run off in secret to get married, often without permission, but in today’s terms, an elopement is so much more, and without any negative connotations.
An elopement can be whatever you choose. Whether you choose to go camping, hike a mountains, ride a helicopter, kayak a lake, it is completely up to you and your partner. Bring an officiant, and I can be your witness, and get married.
It's really all about nurturing the love you two have for each other without the pressures and stress of a traditional wedding, and choosing to spend the day doing something you both will enjoy and cherish.

You sure can! You can bring whoever you like. Some couples will get married in the presence of loved ones, then spend the rest of the day adventuring on their own. Have loved ones who might not be able to do a 20km hike? We will find the perfect place for you to get married, then you can spend the rest of your time making memories with the love of your life.

While they are very similar, elopements generally have an aspect of adventure to them, and have very few people, while intimate weddings are similar to a traditional wedding in structure, and can have generally up to 25 people.
If you want to get married and spend time with your close friends and family with a reception, consider it an intimate wedding. If you want to get married and have the adventure of your life with just the two of you, consider it an elopement.

Why Should You Elope?
